This program is designed to enhance students’ understanding of the duties of an entry level bookkeeper preparing them to work in the accounting department of any company. Graduates of this program will understand basic accounting terminology and be able to identify the differences between cash and accrual accounting methods. Graduates will be able to keep track of the accounts payable and accounts receivable in a business. Graduates will also be able to use a journal, general ledger, balance sheet and other financial statements to assist the accounting supervisor with fiscal decisions.  In addition, graduates will be familiar with internal and external auditing and have a working knowledge of how to use Quickbooks in an accounting setting.

Certification Preparation

Prepare for an industry-recognized certification aligned with your career pathway. Certification preparation is integrated into your training to help you build the knowledge and skills needed to successfully complete the certification exam and earn your professional credential.

After program completion, test for the Intuit Certified Bookkeeping Professional credential with additional preparation aligned to NACPB Bookkeeping Certification standards. Build the accounting and QuickBooks skills employers seek for bookkeeping, payroll, and virtual accounting support roles.
